Trial baked a new cake recipe I found the other week in preparation for making for my craft & knitting group, Makes & Bakes, and also for a charity garden party in 2 weeks. Apart from not using culinary lavender seeds (I forgot this until after baking!) the cake turned out moist and tasty with a hint of lavender throughout. The poppyseeds bring a nice ‘poppy’ texture. I didn’t use as much lime juice & zest as the recipe said but I think only a little more is needed else it could overwhelm the lavender.
